A friend of mine, living in Chicago, started up his own microbrewery in late 2009. Wanting to name and brand his new brew with a nod to our alma mater, Ohio State, we coined the brewing house the Oval Brewing Co.

Named for the OSU campus’ central green space, The Oval, the branding reflects the quad by displaying circuitous, criss-crossing paths, originally worn into the Oval’s grass and later paved by the University.

The labels design reflects the branding, clean and grungy with nods (subtle and not) to Ohio State's history and tradition.
